Blogging Insights- Techie or Not?

Dr Tanya posed these questions on Blogging Insights #38.

How technically savvy are you?

I believe I’m fairly well adapted to most of the technology that’s available in the market, for a person who’s not dependent on being tech-savvy for her livelihood. And if I’m not sure about something, I ask my ‘more-tech-savvy’ sister, or figure it out by myself through the old ‘trial and error’ method.

Did you launch and set up your blog on your own or did you need help with it?

I did it on my own. šŸ™‚ And I took inspiration from some amazing blogs here in WP, both in blog design and in broadening my horizon in creative writing.

Do you feel that it is more important to have a flair for writing  or have good computer skills to be a successful blogger?

I believe that writing well is important. In case of products or services, good write-up and advertisement is necessary to attract the crowd. Of course, one needs to have certain tech skills to successfully start and navigate a blog/website; but at the end, if your content and writing skills are sub-par, it’ll be difficult to grow (or even retain your followers) in the long run.

  1. šŸ˜‚ I read the answer to the first question, imagining it to be the words of the robot. I thought this was a tale too.

Only when I read about the blog in the second question, I realised they’re your words.
