This is for Melanie’s Share Your World- With A Twist. There will be 2 parts this week, a ‘Harry Potter’ inspired section, where Roger will ask some questions on “The Sorcerer’s Stone” and a general section by Melanie.
Part 1

Because of the state-wide quarantines many of the local SPCA’s are having an influx of animals. You have decided that you would love to have a new pet. Would you go the normal wizardry route and pick an owl, a cat, or a toad? Or would you become a more eccentric wizard (like Hagrid, the games keeper) and seek out a three-headed dog, a dragon, or a unicorn? Please explain your answer.
In this world of fast messaging apps, having owls deliver letters is strange for me. But I would love to have a loyal phoenix as my familiar, whose songs will soothe my soul when I’m sad, whose tears will be far more invaluable than healing potions and whose strength can carry me away from tough situations. 😛
Neville Longbottom was gifted a Remembrall. This was a glass ball that would assist you in maintaining memories of things that you often forget. What would you want your Remembrall to help you remember?
Not a fan of Remembrall, as it would only show me that I’ve forgotten something. My post-its and the reminders on my phone will atleast tell me what I’ve forgotten.
Professor Dumbledore gave Harry Potter an invisibility cloak that Dumbledore said was from Harry’s father. Now, you have inherited a cloak with similar powers. Would you use it? When?
Of-course I would use it, much like Harry did when he spied on people and used it to escape detection during his yearly adventures. Since I’ve become old enough to not want an invisible cloak to sneak out of the house, I would instead use it to avoid some people.
While cleaning your attic, you have discovered the Mirror of Erised. (“Erised” is “desire” spelled backwards, as if reflected in a mirror) The Mirror of Erised is a magical mirror, which, according to Professor Dumbledore, when you gaze into it, it shows the “deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts.” You have chosen to look in the mirror. What do you see?
I hope I would see my loved ones beside me- mother and sister standing on my left and my future partner on my right. I hope that I will be holding my successful trilogy in hand (I dearly wish to publish a trilogy that is well-received), as my father stands behind me, regretful of his choices in life.
Part 2

Would You Rather Live 120 Years That Are Comfortable But Boring, Or Live Half As Long, But Have An Exciting Adventure Packed Life?
I would rather live 60 years, with experiences that make life worth those years on Earth.
What’s Something That Overwhelms You?
Many things overwhelm me, as I’ve struggled with depression and a sense of inferiority for a long time. But I know, at the back of my mind, that it’s just a phase and that it’ll be over too.
What Do or DID You Take For Granted?
I try to be cautious to not take anybody or anything for granted.
Sometimes, I feel that I didn’t realise the worth of those golden days of ‘college’. I wish I had a time-turner to go back and re-live those days once again.
A phoenix is a good choice! Loved your answers

Thanks for taking part in the Potter questions. I agree, a phoenix would be a grand pet.
Avoiding people with your invisibility cloak could come in very handy! Stay safe.

Thanks so much for Sharing Your World. There are seven movies, therefore there will be seven ‘specials’. Who knows what might come up after that! I’m glad you’re besting the depression and lack of confidence…those are tough battles to overcome! It sounds like you’re doing a splendid job with both! Cheers!

Thank you so much, Melanie 😊
There are good days and bad, but reading, writing and dancing helps a lot. And I try my best, thats all.
I’m really exited about the Harry Potter segment. I’m a big fan of the HP universe and am eagerly awaiting the next. Thanks for this! 💚
