Written for Sadje’s What Do You See #42. Does this picture inspire you to write something? Write an original story, poem or a caption.
This is my first attempt at the ‘Tanka’ form of poetry. It’s a form of Japanese poetry that follows- 5/7/5/7/7 syllable count per line.

Painted colours bright
Broken soul hidden behind
Combatting feelings
Alone in the silent night
Pondering the soul’s demise.
