These moments in time
a turn of the season
When summer’s fallen asleep
and winter’s yet to awaken.

Into fall’s hands
falls the yellow leaves
Carried by autumn’s breeze
a faint scent of monsoon bygone.

As the frosty months of darkness
loom above those hills
The weakened sun slips by
casting a pallor bleak.

So rejoice in the fall
a present from nature
And light the bonfires
as you collect the harvest.

For soon the days shall be small
and the nights long
When the last leaf of fall
falls off the barren branch.

        1. I couldn’t help but call him out since I came across his comment first on my blog and was shocked to see the same, exact comment here and on Nani’s blog too.
