Share Your World 10-12-2020 is hosted by Melanie and she has a few questions for us.
Are we “here” or do we just think we are? (A metaphysical question today folks.) Can you prove your point of view?
This is a tricky one! It’s a matter of perspective and beliefs, each person is entitled to their own opinion.
I believe that we are really here, though I can’t prove it. And all our actions have consequences and are synced in the universal balancing scale. But if someday, someone can irrefutably prove (or disprove) it, I’ll revise my opinion.
From an identity stand-point, which would be the worst for you personally to lose? Your face, your body or your voice? Which do YOU identify with most strongly for your own sense of self?
It’s difficult to identify a voiceless spirit, so I’ll keep both my voice and body. But it’ll be a tedious process to rectify all my IDs if my facial features change.
And for my sense of self, my mind is most precious to me. Then, in order of importance- my body, voice and face (provided sense of sight and smell are fine).
Do you have a ‘song’? If you’re part of a couple, you could use “your couple’s song” OR a song that’s just always resonated with you.
I don’t have a particular song that describes me. My favourites keep changing with time.
Often a particular song gets stuck in my mind for a day or so and it keeps on playing in a loop, especially when I’m thinking of answers in exams.
“Spooky” Halloween Question:
Are ghosts real or has someone been smoking something and just imagines them?
I believe that there are spirits, both good ones and bad ones, though they might not be like they’re portrayed in the movies. And they do sometimes come into contact with us, for their own purposes (unfulfilled desires, revenge etc.).
GRATITUDE SECTION (always optional)
I’m really grateful for chocolates. This week has been difficult emotionally and dark chocolate has been my companion, cheering me up.
I’ve gorged on them, despite knowing that I could gain weight and get a face full of acne. I believe one can never have too many chocolates!
