Asinine- #WWP

Written for Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt- Asinine.

“For the last 30 mins, I’ve sat and listened to a bunch of asinine accusations and speculations about our R&D and budget; while brave men and women under my command fight for their lives.”

“Do you consider yourself above accountability and responsibility to this institution, Commander?” His superior challenged.

“No, sir.” Irritation hidden by a bland expression, the Commander continued, “We all know where the remainder of the reduced funding for the forces end up.”
