Death’s Kiss

Image- NataliaDrepina
Autumn leaves adorned as jewels,
In the dark I awaited death's cold kiss;
As I lay beside prickly dried bramble,
Autumn leaves adorned as jewels.
A veneer of grace hiding my urges feral,
A quick hiss of knife delivering eternal bliss;
Autumn leaves adorned as jewels,
In the dark I awaited death's cold kiss.

This is written for MLMM’s Photo Challenge #368 hosted by Nekneeraj

This is my first attempt at a Triolet, which has 8 lines with rhyming scheme- ABaAabAB. The first line is repeated as the fourth and seventh while the second is repeated as the last.
