Introspection
Inward glance, I walk along mind’s dusty lanes
Inner sanctum churns, trapped beneath icy ideals
Imprisoned instinct festers, caged in ivory walls
Impaled memories surface, wounds weeping red
Infected emotions flood, invading psyche’s tenets
Interred images, once immune to incitement, now invite impure intentions
Identity, born of insanity
This is my first attempt at a Pleiades.
This titled form was invented in 1999 by Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine’s Lead Editor. Only one word is allowed in the title followed by a single seven-line stanza. The first word in each line begins with the same letter as the title.
Inspired by Free Verse Revolution’s October Writing Prompt– Inward Glances.

Well done with the form, Priya! But more importantly, deep thoughts articulated beautifully. β€οΈ

Superb… More than the form, what attracts me is the philosophy around which the words are woven so wonderfully…
